Flat Top Photo Collection (FTPC)– An estate auction near Flat Top, WV led to the discovery of 20 slide carousels of photos in three major categories. Each carousel houses approximately 100 slides. FTPC-A consists of 8 carousels of Auto Racing photos from the 1960’s and 1970’s with many originating in Elkhart, Wisconsin. FTPC-B consists of nine carousels labeled Mathew Brady photos from the Civil War. And FTPC- C consists of 3 carousels marked as “Old Circus Photos,” most from the early 1960’s. This last group includes photos illustrating the process of setting up a circus, including using Elephants to raise the big tent.
