Baldwin-Felts Primary Source Material – Consists of 22 three-ring binders and a plastic tub filled with photocopies of newspaper articles contained in William G. Baldwin’s scrapbooks. This collection represents much of the primary source material gathered by John A. Velke III when writing his book, The True Story of the Baldwin-Felts Detective Agency. The collection includes copies of approximately 500 letters between the detective agency’s office and officials with the Norfolk & Western Railroad. The originals of these letters are in the Special Collection Division at Virginia Tech.
